Start your day with a scenic drive through Limuru’s tea plantations and into the Great Rift Valley, with a stop at the viewpoint for stunning landscapes. Continue to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride, spotting hippos and diverse birdlife along the way.
Arrive at Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. After exploring, return by boat to the mainland and optionally enjoy a drink at a lakeside café before heading back to Nairobi in the late afternoon.
On this exciting tour, you will be picked from your residence at 6:00am, followed by a briefing before departing for Naivasha
On the way, we will pass through the Tea Plantations of Limuru as we head down the Rift Valley.
We will make a stop at the Rift Valley Observation point where you will get to see the amazing landscapes of the area. Learn more on the formation and what lies within the valley
Head on down to Lake Naivasha, where we will arrive and get our life jacket and head down to the boat. Get an opportunity to see the hippos, pelicans, fish eagles, cormorants among other bird life as we head to the Crescent Island. Experience up close encounters and see; giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impala, gazelle, warthog among other animals.
After spending some time exploring the island on foot, we will head back to the boat for a return to the main land.
Choose to visit the cafe for a coffee/ tea/ juice at own cost, before we start our journey back to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon

Points to Note
- This is a half day tour with pick up at 7:00am so that we are the jetty by 9:00am
- The tour allows for a boat trip before being dropped off at the Island
- Entry formalities then free time to explore the area with your guide or on your own
- Later, return back to the jetty for the boat transfer to where the vehicle is
- Depart for Nairobi arrival in the afternoon
- You will have a qualified Driver-Guide for your tour
- Bottled Water will be provided
- You are encouraged to purchase some snacks/ biting's for yourself
- Remember to bring a sweater/ jacket, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.
- Pick Up and Drop off is included - Remember to send over your address to help coordinate this
- Park Entry Fees has to be pre-paid either by us (if indicated) or by yourself (a guide will be provided) or we can assist
Cancellation Policy & No Show
Reservations/Bookings that are canceled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers of participants (hereinafter collectively called CANCELLATION) are subject to cancellation and No Show fees. The scale of charges, expressed as a percentage of the total tour price that will be charged in addition to the non-refundable deposit paid during reservation, is as follows:
More than 8-week notice - 5% handling fee
8 weeks - 4-week notice - 50% handling fee
Less than 3-week notice 60% handling fee
Less than 2-week notice 90% handling fee
Less than 1-week notice 100% handling fee
Should you fail to join a tour or join it after departure or leave prior to its completion, no tour fare refund can be made. (Please note that if the reason for the cancellation falls within the terms of any holiday insurance policy, which you hold, then the insurance company, subject to the terms of your insurance, will normally refund any such charges to you).
